Frequently Asked Questions
What is your refund policy?
Memphis Road Tours is happy to offer a full refund when cancellations are made at least 7 days in advance. If plans change within 7 days of your tour, the deposit is non‑refundable.
Are the tours available 7 days a week?
No, tours are not offered on Sundays. Most tours run six days a week, and any date‑specific restrictions will be noted in the Tour Details section of each tour page.
Do I need to pay the full amount before the tour?
Not at all. A 20% deposit is due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance can be paid on the day of your tour by credit/debit card or cash. If you’d like to pay the full amount upfront, you’re welcome to do so .
Is this a private tour?
Groups are kept small, with a maximum of 7 guests to keep the experience personal. If you’d prefer a private experience, you can book one with at least 2 people. Private tours are priced at double the standard per‑person rate.
What kind of vehicle will we ride in?
Most tours take place in a comfortable mini‑van. For Birthday Week and Elvis Week, we may switch to a 15‑passenger van, accommodating up to 12 people.
Can guests with disabilities be accommodated?
Absolutely. All guests are welcome. There is space to store a wheelchair or a portable motorized wheelchair, and step stools are provided when needed to make getting into the vehicle easier.
How much walking is involved on the tours?
Most tours require very little walking. Tupelo includes a moderate amount, while Nashville involves a higher level of walking.
Can I bring snacks and drinks on the tour?
Yes, you’re welcome to. Day‑long tours include a lunch stop. The Memphis tour usually doesn’t pause for a sit‑down meal, but we can always grab a quick sandwich along the way.
Will I be able to take photos of the sites you show?
Yes. Several locations include dedicated photo stops, and if there’s a site you’re excited to capture, feel free to ask. I’m glad to pause so you can get every shot you’d like.
Are museum tickets part of the tour price?
Nashville tours do not include museum tickets because there are so many options to choose from. Memphis tours offer optional add‑on museums, and admission is covered in those add‑on prices. All other tours include museum admission as listed on their individual tour pages.
Can I add a site to a tour?
Yes. Additional stops can be added when time allows, and there’s no extra charge.
How far in advance should I book my tour with you?
Booking as early as possible is best, especially during busy seasons when tours fill up quickly.
